Essential Party Information for Koh Phangan, 2017 Party Dates.

Full Moon Party

Every full moon (Mainstream, deep house, tech house, psytrance, drum and bass)

The party that started it all, head to Haad Rin Beach and join 30 000 or so glo-painted revellers (take a taxi, or stay in Haad Rin as the hilly road from Thong Sala gets pretty dangerous) Entry is 100 Baht, plenty of food and alcohol available in Haad Rin itself and on the beach. Be aware that most accommodation requires a minimum stay of 3-4 days over the full moon period, and prices also increase over that time too! It is possible to come over from Koh Samui, party and head back the next morning without booking accommodation.

Half Moon Festival

Every half moon (Tech house, deep house)

The Half Moon sometimes gets a bad rap as it's sometimes put across as the consolation prize for people who miss the Full Moon, and nothing could be further from the truth. The Half Moon Festival costs 1000 Baht entry and you can see that reflected in the quality of the music and decorations and even the drinks (by this we mean that what they say is in the drink, is actually in there!) Many people avoid the Full Moon party and come specifically for the Half Moon.

Every Saturday night, and only accessible by boat from Haad Rin or 4x4 from Baan Tai. This is one of the nicest parties on Koh Phangan, supposedly similar to the first Full Moon parties.
